Reactivity & Aggression Dog Training
$1,100.00
9 Private Lessons Total
Lesson 1: A 1-hour, in-depth evaluation to understand your dog’s triggers, confidence level, emotional patterns, and history.
– Allows your dog to meet the trainer and get comfortable in the new environment
– Establishes a tailored plan focused on changing perception, not suppressing behavior
This program is designed for dogs showing:
– Reactivity toward other dogs (barking, lunging, growling, fixating)
– Aggressive behavior patterns — even without a bite history
– Underconfidence, fear, or environmental anxiety
– Difficulty processing stress, distractions, or new environments
We do NOT start with obedience.
– We fix the emotional state and behavior first
– Obedience is not used as a management tool for reactivity or aggression
– A dog can hold a sit and still be panicking — which will eventually fail under pressure
Decision-making is central to our approach:
– We give the dog freedom to make choices
– Good decisions are reinforced and praised
– Bad decisions receive clear, fair punishment
– The dog learns how to think clearly and make correct choices without needing obedience to “hand-hold”
Our early focus includes:
– Confidence building
– Emotional regulation and arousal control
– Changing perception of triggers
– Structured desensitization and controlled exposure
– Threshold management
– Interrupting and redirecting negative behavioral patterns
– Play-driven engagement to build clarity and resilience
Once the dog is emotionally stable and making consistently good decisions, we then introduce obedience — creating behaviors that are functional, reliable, and stress-resistant.
Includes most training equipment (prong collar, 15-ft leash, and e-collar if used)
